Terms of Use
The terms for using MapleDriven’s Canada-wide auto-service directory and appointment platform.
Effective [HARRY: date the new terms go live, e.g. November 2, 2026]
By using MapleDriven, you agree to these terms. Shop services remain a separate agreement between you and the selected shop.
1. MapleDriven’s role
MapleDriven is a directory and appointment platform. It does not inspect vehicles, diagnose problems, perform repairs, employ the shop’s technicians or sell the shop’s services. Each shop is an independent business responsible for its work.
2. Listings and labels
Profiles may contain public business information and information supplied by a shop. A claimed profile means the business controls the listing. A licence-checked label means supplied licence information was checked at a point in time. Neither label is an endorsement or a guarantee of workmanship, price, availability or outcome.
3. Appointment status
Instant booking is available where a shop has switched it on for that service. Otherwise, your submission is an appointment request and is not confirmed until the shop accepts it. Check the confirmation shown on screen or sent to you before attending.
4. Prices, estimates and payment
Any displayed price is supplied by the shop and may be a starting price rather than a final estimate. Vehicle condition, parts, taxes, supplies and added work can change the total. Confirm the scope and estimate with the shop. Payment is made under the shop’s terms unless MapleDriven clearly states otherwise.
5. Fees for auto shops
Car owners never pay MapleDriven. Shops pay no monthly fee for the listing, bookings or the shop software. A shop pays only for a customer MapleDriven’s AI brought to it: fees start at $5, depending on the size of the job and whether it was booked instantly or as a request the shop accepted, and the shop sees the exact fee on every request before it accepts. Bookings that come straight to the shop (its MapleDriven page, its QR code, a search on the site), jobs the shop adds itself, walk-ins cost nothing. A booking is charged when the shop marks the customer as came in. It is also charged when the problem was on the shop’s side, because the time was agreed: the customer came on time and the shop could not take the car; the customer waited more than 10 minutes past the time and had to leave (our team checks with the shop first); or the shop cancelled a confirmed booking less than 12 hours before. Cancelling 12 or more hours ahead is free. A customer who did not show, or came late and the shop could not fit them in, is never charged. MapleDriven bills the shop once a month for the month before, and every charge is listed in the Billing tab of the shop panel. The optional AI receptionist has no monthly fee: the shop pays either per customer it books from a missed call who comes in (the same fee as a MapleDriven AI booking) or $1 per call or text conversation (its bookings then free). To receive jobs from MapleDriven’s AI or use the AI receptionist, the shop adds a card; MapleDriven charges $1 to check the card works and gives it straight back. The full rules for shops are in the Shop agreement (mapledriven.ca/shop-agreement).
6. Shop software and records
Shops can use MapleDriven’s shop software (job cards, estimates, invoices, parts, reports, reminders, texts) at no cost. The records a shop keeps there are the shop’s business records: the shop can download them at any time while its account is open, and they are never shown to another shop. Taxes on a shop’s own invoices are worked out from the shop’s province; the shop is responsible for its own tax numbers and filings.
7. Repairs, warranties and disputes
The shop is responsible for diagnosis, authorization, repair, parts, invoices, warranties, cancellations and customer complaints. Ask for material terms in writing. MapleDriven does not provide a parts or labour warranty.
8. SMS and mobile communications (SMS Terms & Conditions)
By optionally providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS opt-in checkbox, you consent to receive recurring transactional text messages (SMS and MMS) from MapleDriven (Maple Driven Inc.) regarding appointment confirmations, booking status updates, schedule reminders, and customer support communications. Agreeing to receive text messages is completely optional and is never a condition of purchase, account creation, or using our services. Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and inquiries. Message and data rates may apply. You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any text message. Upon sending STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message confirming your unsubscribe status. For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at info@mapledriven.ca. Wireless carriers (including Bell, Rogers, Telus, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
9. Your responsibilities
Provide accurate contact, vehicle and appointment information; use the service lawfully; protect your account; and do not submit false reviews, harmful content or unauthorized business claims. Confirm urgent or safety-critical concerns directly with a qualified repair facility.
10. Availability and liability
We work to keep MapleDriven useful and accurate, but do not promise uninterrupted access, search rankings, shop response, availability or error-free information. To the extent permitted by law, MapleDriven is not responsible for the independent shop’s acts, omissions or repair outcome.
11. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means the new terms apply where permitted by law. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and applicable Canadian law. Contact us with questions or concerns.
